The Call to Serve
As a Marine veteran, I am no stranger to challenges. Serving my country was always a deep desire of mine, and stepping into the world of the United States Marine Corps was a life-changing experience. The discipline, grit, and courage that I developed during my years of service have been invaluable throughout my life. As my time in the Marines drew to a close, I was faced with a question – what’s next?
After much thought and consideration, I decided to pursue a degree in Cyber Operations. With the world becoming more and more digitized, I saw an opportunity to use my skills and experience to make a difference in the world of cybersecurity. And so, I packed my bags and headed to the University of Arizona.
The Path to Cyber Operations
My journey towards a bachelor’s degree in Cyber Operations has been an exciting and challenging one. The coursework has been rigorous and demanding, but also incredibly rewarding. I’ve gained a deep understanding of the inner workings of computer systems, networks, and security protocols. I’m constantly learning new skills and technologies, and I’m excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.
One of the things that has been most rewarding about my time at the University of Arizona has been the sense of community that I’ve found. The faculty and students are passionate about cybersecurity, and I’ve had the opportunity to work with some truly brilliant minds.

The world of cybersecurity is constantly evolving, and I’m excited to be a part of it. As technology advances, so do the threats that we face. Whether it’s cybercrime, espionage, or terrorism, the need for cybersecurity professionals has never been greater.
As I look towards the future, I am confident that my degree in Cyber Operations will open up a world of opportunities for me. From working in government agencies to private corporations, there is no shortage of career paths in this field. And with my background in the Marine Corps, I’m well-equipped to handle the challenges that come my way.
